It is an honor to introduce myself as the new principal of Salk Elementary School. I am excited and eager to bring my skills as an educational leader to Salk and work with you to ensure your child’s success.

I come to Salk Elementary having previously taught in L’Anse Creuse Public Schools for 5 years. I then moved to Richmond Community schools where I served in various administrative roles for the past 9 years. Most recently, I was the Acting Principal at Richmond Middle School, a 4th through 8th grade building. During the 2014-15 school year I spent time as the Elementary Principal, and I am very excited about returning to the elementary setting. Outside of education, I spend time with my wife Lisa and our two children, Madelyn and John. I also have a house full of animals with three cats and two dogs. Like most parents, we spend much of our personal time taking our kids to various activities.

As your principal, it is important to me that everyone who steps through our doors is excited to be here! This attitude enables us to meet the challenges of academic excellence in a positive, fun, and nurturing environment. I welcome your conversation and input throughout the year. I had the pleasure of meeting some of you at the last PTO meeting and the wonderful trivia night the PTO hosted. I look forward to meeting everyone in the drop-off/pick-up lines or anytime you stop in the office.
